ACE FREHLEY AND LITA FORD ROCK THE BROOKLYN BOWL!

February 2, 2017 at the Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq saw the return of the queen of rock-n-roll, LITA FORD, opening for one of the true kings of rock-n-roll, ACE FREHLEY. ACE & LITA seem to have a chemistry developed between them that stems back to their collaboration on ACE’S new record “Origins, Volume 1” for the song “Wild Thing” and it was great to see this double bill of legends back in town.

This double bill was nearly sold out at the Brooklyn Bowl and both LITA and ACE sounded fantastic. LITA FORD, the queen of rock-n-roll, is fresh off the release of her new book titled “Living Like a Runaway” and had a book signing the next day at Zia Records.

LITA and her guitar player, Patrick Kennison, have developed a tight version of “Close My Eyes Forever”, which is always a highlight of any LITA FORD show. LITA sounded as good as she has ever sounded in my opinion and she is never hard on the eyes as well. The last few years have been good to LITA with the release of the Runaways movie as well as her new book to go along with her storied musical career.

One of the true Kings of rock, ACE FREHLEY, would headline this fantastic double bill. ACE seems to have patched up his long standing differences with the remaining members of KISS, at least when it comes to Paul Stanley, as he gave a shout out to Paul during the show and referred to him as his good friend. Some thought we would never see those days! Ace continues to tour under the Spaced Invaders banner and has recently released his “Origins, Volume 1” covers album. ACE was even gracious enough to turn over vocals on a couple classic Kiss songs to Las Vegas resident Scotty Coogan who mans the drums for ACE these days.ACE and LITA seem a perfect match for a double bill as the queen and king

respectfully. They are two of the true legends of the rock world and their presence together was surely appreciated by this packed crowd at the Brooklyn Bowl. Thanks again to all the staff at Brooklyn Bowl for being so receptive
