AWR AT THE SMITH CENTER!

YES featuring 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of fame inductees Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, and Rick Wakeman played a sold out show at the Smith Center this past August.  One of the most successful progressive rock bands of all time, are back with a nationwide tour spanning from coast to coast.  Long time YES fans gathered to witness the musical legacy of ARW.

The crowd yelled with excitement as the band walked on stage.  Every song the band played, the crowd gave them a standing ovation.  The set list consisted of the band’s ’70s classic era and the ’80s hit making era.    The band played fan favorites “And You And I,” “Hold On,” “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” “Roundabout,” and many more.

On August 3, 1968, YES played their first concert at the East Mersea Youth Camp in Essex.  As of 2017, YES is entering their 50th anniversary.  YES are pioneers of progressive rock, and had achieved worldwide success with a history spanning from an upcoming 50 years and 21 studio albums.  I was so amazed to have been there to watch the music legacy of ARW who are known for their expansive songs, unique lyrics, album covers with abstract artwork and live stage sets.  -
