Sin City is the best place to ring in the New Year and excitement filled the Brooklyn Bowl on New Year’s Eve with LIVING COLOUR! The masters of music  were headlining and celebrating their 30th anniversary for their debut album “Vivid.”  Mike Xavier and Las Vegas own  ADELITAS WAY kicked the

NYE21night off with a bang, and got the crowd ready to ring in the New Year.

New York’s Living Colour broke down doors in the late ’80s, with their debut album “Vivid.”  Debuting thirty years ago, “Vivid” was on top of the charts and won numerous awards for their anthem “Cult of Personality” which was all over MTV.  The album was released in 1988 on Epic Records and reached number 6 on the Billboard 200 Albums. “Cult of Personality” went on to earn the band their first Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance.  What separated LIVING COLOUR from other bands from the ‘80s, was that their music were politically charged and can be related to today’s events.

The set kicked off with ‘Middle Man’, with Corey Glover’s vocals immediately showcasing an impressive and varied octave range, that will make the hair on your arms stand up.  With Will Calhoun, Vernon Reid, and Doug Wimbish providing music of fusing funk, soul, and rock grooves, fueled the energy of the crowd which was high and joyful.  The group continued to play fan favorites such as “Open Letter (To Land A Lord),” “Love Rears It’s Ugly Head,” and many more.  The night came to an amazing end as the band closed the night with their biggest “Cult of Personality.”

Thanks to Living Colour and Brooklyn Bowl for making NYE 2019 a memorable event!
