The Brooklyn Bowl was once again the scene of yet another amazing night of high energy rock and roll. Saturday, May 4th, the stage was graced by none other than Buckchrry. Hailing from Anaheim, California Buckcherry released their first album back in 1999, and immediately made a name for themselves worldwide. Showing no signs of slowing down in 2019, lead singer Josh Todd and the band have set out on tour to support their new release Warpaint.

On this new album, Buckcherry have decided to cover the Nine Inch Nail classic, Head Like a Hole, and the crowd was surprised to say the least at how well they did on a song that was out of their normal repertoire.DSC_6472

There was very little breaks in the action as the band barely gave us time to catch our breath, playing songs from the new album and sprinkling in hit after hit from the past. OnDSC_8444e of the songs that really got the house moving was “Lit Up”. Just about everyone in the place was singing at the top of their lungs. The only time I remember things getting even a little mellow, was when the guys played their hit “Sorry”. But the energy was soon brought back by songs like “Gluttony” and “ Somebody F#$Ked With Me”.

Then something unexpected happened when the band broke into their version of the Eagles classic “Life in the Fast Lane”. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. What was really cool was when they segwayed from that song right into “Crazy Bitch” effortlessly. And of course the crowd went completely insane. When the song was over they said goodnight and walked off stage leaving everyone in a frenzy.

But in true rock star form, the guys encored with the powerhouse song “Say F$#k It” and damn near started a riot. Just kidding. We all behaved ourselves (wink wink). I have seen Buckcherry four times now, and every time has been a blast!! If ya missed this show, I can let ya in on a little secret: Buckcherry will be playing Fremont Street this summer. See Ya there!DSC_6492
