LITA FORD ROCKS DOWNTOWN!

It’s been awhile since Rock Queen Guitarist Lita Ford invaded Vegas.  But when she does it always makes an impression and leaves everyone wanting more! The Golden Nugget downtown Las Vegas was the latest scene of invasion for rock as Lita took the stage with all the fire and fury that left the venue walls trembling.  Armed with Bobby Rock on drums, Patrick Kennison on guitar and Marty O’Brien on bass, it was a full-on assault to the delight of the packed house.

It was my first time to see a show at the Golden Nugget and the showroom was a perfect size for the event. I ran into people I haven’t seen in ages and even saw my chum Frankie Moreno!

During the show Lita spoke about her book and when she was growing up, there

were no otherDSC00419 influences of other women playing electric guitar. There was Janis Joplin and other singers, but it is clear Lita blazed the trail of a true pioneer of rock blooming into the legend she is.

It is always a treat to witness rock history onstage in action and Lita never fails to deliver. With songs like “Can’t Catch Me” written with Lemmy  Kilmister to “Kiss Me Deadly”, the hits kept coming. I especially liked “Living Like A Runaway” that I don’t remember hearing live the last time I saw her show.

In a league all her own, I know I speak for many others, besides myself that we all eagerly await the next return of the original Queen of Rock to Sin City.
