TOM MORELLO ROCKS BROOKLYN BOWL!

MORELLO ROCKS BROOKLYN BOWL!

The Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas was the place to be November 3rd when Tom Morello rocked the house! Put down the bowling balls because the stage was rockin’ ! Tom took the stage in support of his solo album “The Atlas Underground”.

First to hit the stage was show opener 93 PUNX featuring  Vic Mensa. This band is known for their fiery performances and this show definitely followed that theme. They started the groove for the night and had the crowd getting into the swing of things chanting “Burn the White House down”. The chanting continued while jumping around and telling the crowd what’s wrong with the world today.

It was a good fit for an opening act because Tom Morello is also known for his leftist political views and activism. And for his playing Tom is best known for his unique and creative guitar playing style, which incorporates feedback noise, unconventional picking and tapping as well as heavy use of guitar effects. It is almost hard to explain and better to just watch him perform as many came to witness that night at the Brooklyn Bowl. Tom hit the stage with his powerful guitar riffs that continued for about ten minutes, much to the delight of his shred base fans. This would include myself as a huge fan as the riff master blew off riff after riff. Tom performed “Cochise” and also “Like a Stone” from his time when he was in Audioslave. Tom was also a member of Rage Against The Machine and performed “Killing in the Name of it”  This all  proof of why he was ranked number 40 in Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarist’s of all Time” .This was an amazing show and if you get a chance to see Tom Morello, don’t miss that chance! It is well worth the experience!
